Cupcakes, Flowers, and Community: A Day to Remember

What a day! Our recent pop-up shop turned out to be a delightful celebration of spring, community, and, of course, cakes! I’m thrilled to share that we sold out of our cupcakes within the first hour—a testament to the love and support from both familiar faces and newcomers alike.

The setting was nothing short of magical, adorned with beautiful spring flowers from Flair Floral. Their stunning arrangements created a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complemented our sweet offerings. It was heartwarming to see so many regular customers, alongside those I hadn’t seen in years—some whose wedding cakes I crafted over eight years ago! It felt like a lovely reunion.

Thanks to Gum Tree Kids, parents were able to enjoy their time picking flowers and cupcakes while their little ones played happily in a safe, engaging playscape. This thoughtful touch made the experience even more enjoyable for everyone involved. Kellie from Blackandles was also in-store to launch their Kaleidoscope collection of candles, adding a lovely touch to the day.

I was also thrilled to meet our new Mayor, who brought a sense of community spirit, and felt a bit starstruck when Ranger Stacey popped in—talk about a blast from the past! As a millennial, it was surreal to see her; she was quite the icon back in the day!

I’d love to share some of the beautiful messages I received afterwards:

“I have only eaten the Petal + Peach flavour so far today but yummooooooo! My memory hasn’t tricked me… your cakes are as good as I remember!” Sharna S.

“Thank you so much for the cakes. They’re the best I’ve EVER had and I’ve had A LOT of cake.” Kim S.

“Thank you for spoiling me! My parents were blown away by your cakes!” Kylie H.

“Always divine” Margie G.

“The best cake I have ever eaten!” Steve C.

Reflecting on this experience, I feel a profound sense of gratitude. The blend of community spirit, creativity, and deliciousness made the day truly special. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us—I can’t wait for the next opportunity to share more treats with you all!
