To help make your cake ordering process as smooth and delightful as possible, here’s a clear and concise timeline for ordering your dream wedding cake in Brisbane.
1. Start Your Cake Planning Early
9-12 months Before the wedding: Initial Research and Enquiry
Begin your cake planning journey by exploring options and gathering inspiration. Visit our Instagram to view our portfolio of buttercream creations. Once you have a vision, reach out to Petal and Peach Bakery for an initial quotation. This will help you understand sizing, pricing, inclusions and options and get a sense of how our style will complement your day.
2. Reserve your space in our calendar and book a cake tasting
8-9 months before the wedding: Date retainer and tasting
Once you’ve chosen to work with Petal and Peach Bakery, we will request payment of a date retainer fee. This is 50% of your estimated total based on the details shared in your initial enquiry. This payment guarantees you a space in our calendar AND locks in the price for the quoted inclusions. As we are small on purpose, spaces do tend to fill at least 6 months in advance and once we are fully booked for a date, we will not take on any additional orders. Now that your space is saved - pre-order a wedding cake tasting box! This will allow you to sample eight of our delicious buttercream flavours so you know exactly what you’d like to include in your wedding cake. So many of our clients are usually surprised to discover which flavours are truly their favourite!
This is the first time we will meet face to face and although the appointment is typically quite short, it’s a great opportunity to talk about size, servings, and any specific requests or questions you have.
3. Finalise the Details
3 - 4 months before the wedding: Confirm Flavours and Design
After your tasting, please touch base to confirm your final preferences for cake design, flavours, colours and any additional details. If you’re adding decorative elements to the design, we can update your quotation to reflect this (your quote won’t be updated if you continue with the initial enquiry design/inclusions).
4. Confirm your booking
1 week before the wedding: final payment and confirmation
To confirm your wedding cake order your final payment is due one week prior to delivery or collection of your wedding cake. If your cake is being delivered, we will coordinate this with your venue directly to ensure it is stored and presented correctly. We will then send you a courtesy email for your peace of mind to confirm our bump in time. If you have any final questions or adjustments, now is the time to address them
